On the 12th of February, I took part in the first photography exhibition by the upcoming Look11 Photography Festival, held at the Threshold Art Festival in the Cultural Urban Centre of Liverpool.

I had the opportunity to display both my current project work and images from my portfolio, which generated interest among the visitors. A number of groups and individuals were fascinated by the nature of my processes, in particular the large homemade cameras, which were on display. It was a pleasure to meet people who had an appreciation of the work I was trying to produce.

One of the activities that Look11 generated, involved a red carpet like scenario were photographers would be invited to stand outside a set of double doors and await a random surprise for them to photograph. It so happened that I was asked to participate as one of the random displays. As shown in a photograph above, I pretended to go through the process of using my 20x16 pinhole camera; carrying it on my trolley, positioning it, framing and finally waiting on the clock.

Over the coming months, I will continue to participate in Look11 activities, having been assured my future involvement by coordinators following my output. It was great to dip my toe in the ocean of activities that I hope to delve into across my future career.
