Closed is an exhibition hosted by the Domino Gallery and organized by an artist collective within the Look11 Festival.
It demonstrates the work of a number of different local artists from the North West if England, each uniquely commenting on the subject of consumer culture.
My work is a piece that I created when exploring the borders of the old Liverpool Docks. In this forgotten space, there is a multitude of decaying objects. One that captivated me was an old milk carton, half drunk, now all brown and covered in dirt. Whatever happened to the milk that Margaret Thatcher took from children? What happens to the produce of our great society? They can be found in the dust of a failed industrial landscape.
Free wine will be provided at the opening, please feel free to come by and see the work on display and join the conversations.
